PICK UP NEW 3480 ON 3 MONTH PAYMEMT PLAN.. SHOULD IT BE A KEEPER.. OR UP GRADE TO 7.1 ? HOW WOULD YOU RATE THIS RECEIVER, I DO NOT USE SURROUND SOUND, IF BEST 2.1 FINE FOR ME ! your opinion appreaciated.

    Yikes man, stop with the caps:confused: . Any way, if you desire the surround sound of a 7.1 set-up then a 2 channel stereo receiver won't cut it. As I've read it though the 3480 is highly regarded. You sound like 2 channel will do though. It does have the sub out, so you should be ok with the 2.1 set-up.

    thanks for your feedback ... it also has preouts, and all power i'll probility need for stereo use !
