Hello.
I am setting up my front sound stage (LSi7's & LSiC).
I have a Yamaha receiver and a Monster 3 ch. amp.
Should I bi-wire?

You'd probably get more out of bi-amping : Take the jumpers out of your LSis, wire the highs to the Yamaha's speaker outputs and the lows to the amp.
Bi-Wiring is just r unning two sets of wires from the same source to the speakers, and there's a lot of arguments about its effectiveness.
But as most people around here will tell you, only your ears will tell you what the best route for you is.If you will it, dude, it is no dream. -
With those Monster amps having so much more power than the receiver, I would skip the bi-amping, and just run all three of the Monster amp, and replace the gold jumpers with good speaker wire jumpers.
If your running the rears off the receiver, that will also free up more of it's power for the rears. -
yeah you definitely can go either way like both bobman and william said. Im not sure which will give you better performance. I would go with setup that will drive all three front speakers the hardest. Im thinking bi-amping though, those monster amps look great. Anyone have an experience with them? I wish I had the space for one myself.Shoot the jumper.....................BALLIN.............!!!!!

I personally found bi-wiring to be beneficial. It is in no way night and day but it definitely helped improve the bass response from my L and R.// Panasonic AE8000 // Pioneer SC-57 // Polk Audio RTi A9 // Polk Audio CSiA6 //

Thanks guys.
I haven't thought about bi-amping. I suppose I could just try it out all different ways and see what works best. I was just wondering if there was one definitive way to do it.
Sherardp - I really like the amp. It makes a huge difference. It is big and heavy, but well worth it. -
Here's an interesting argument/read on why bi-wiring is effective.

I apologize for needing to put this question here, I don't know how to post a new thread. My question is about speaker set up. I have an Onkyo sr503 receiver with polk cs1 center, monitor 40 fronts, psw30 sub and infinity reference rears. My question is about running the rear speakers off of the sub. Is this a good idea? how do I set up my speakers so that I gain maximum output off of the receiver? Any tips for a newby trying to understand how to set up H.T.? Cheers

Welcome to the Forum Abraham!!!
A "Post a New Thread" icon should be located near the top of the page under User CP on the left-hand side.I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore -
I say don't waste your money on buying extra cables, if you have some lying around try it, otherwise........

Here is some good reading for you: http://www.polkaudio.com/downloads/hthandbook.pdf -
I would lose the brass jumpers and get a nice set of bi-wire jumpers first. It will save you money and have a similar effect as biwiring although not as direct I guess. It's my understanding that bi-amping has the greatest effect but you have to mess with the crossover in order to gain the real benefit and I have never been interested in that.Sharp Elite 70
