I'm addicted. I love adding lemon to my coffee. Coffee is my second drink of choice. Wish I could have beer for breakfast, but that would lead down hill from then on for the day (not in a bad way of course).

Drinking it right now.

Peace Out~:D

Ya know... this and that beer thread last week reminded me of this... I tend to be a beer purist, but there are a couple exceptions. I used to run the kitchen at a brewery (yes, it was as fun as it sounds, it felt like Willie Wonka...), so I've sampled a lot of different stuff, but a couple stick out. These were mainly ways we used to make some of the lighter stuff more interesting. The darker ones shouldn't have to be messed with...

One is in the summer, to mix about 2/3 light'ish beer (like Labatts or Kokanee) with lemonade. Major thirst quencher!

Next is to swish just a touch of coffee around the glass to give the lighter beer some depth and fake maltiness.

Third is the beer martini... a few green olives give it a little punch, and you have snacks waiting at the bottom of the glass.

The only thing I will ever drop in a tall glass of suds is a shotglass of whiskey......and im talking drop the whole effin glass in there, get my depth charge on..... (when I really need to get 'there' soon), the rest is fu-fu ****....

Depth charges ROCK.....In my family that's how you learned to drink. Shot of whiskey and a beer chaser, Boilermakers is what they were called. Depth Charges were for special occaisons........

I some of my best memories of my grandfather and dad (who is still living) are us sitting around drinking whiskey, solving the worlds problems......good times I tell ya.

Blasphemy is making beer that light... ;) If you think that's fufu, they also had a bunch of flavor syrups (like at an espresso place) that people could add to their beers. That should be illegal, but the other stuff isn't so bad.

yeah, a place here in Charleston has raspberry brew and some such ****, that's just wrong......I'll agree with that.

Lighter beer has it's place....hot day, mowing the lawn and such. A good pilsner is the ticket

Light beers are good when I'm hot after getting my yard on and I have the need for power-beering.

Never ever mess with a brewmaster's creation. Fruit beers, what will they think of next? I'll bet the Starbuck's Brewery.

Hey guys, I did these things with the brewmaster, and I worked at the brewery for a few years. Have YOU?? DO YOU KNOW?? Show me some evidence these don't taste good!

Sorry, couldn't resist. Too much?

Jeez, after that one picture, I get a nice mental picture after I read 'out my ****' now... As soon as I figure out how to get some serious, hard core A/B cotton ball testing on, I'll let you know...

And I would trade my overtime for cornelius kegs of beer (serious), and heavy duty sampling behind the officially certified BMST (big metal storage tank), so that should make me a pro.
