Best way to hook-up lsi speaker with HK rcv+amp
Hi Polkie...
I'm setting up a home theather system with Lsi15, lsic, lsifx. I have an HK7200 and HK Sig. 2.1 amp. What are the best way to hook up the speakers ? Currently, I use the 7200 to drive the front L,C,R high frequency and a set of lsifx. The HK Sig2.1 drive all the front L,C,R low frequency. Am I doing it right this way? Does the rcv+amp have enought power to run the LSI...? anyone here have the same set-up give me some advice please.
I'm new to this site so please help me out. THX

I take it the amp (HK Sig) is a 3ch amp? Use it to drive the front stage by itself, and the receiver handle the rears. I would recommend shopping for another 2ch amp for the 15's, and then move the Sig 2.1 to handle the center/rear.
You've got a quasi, MacGuyver biamp thing going on, and it can't sound very good.

Thanks for your input Russ. The HK Signature is a 5ch amps. I try to make the most wattage/currents to the 4ohms speakers as I can that why i'm biamp it like that. Its actually sound pretty good, but I just want to make it sound better. What is biamp mean ? It is using two different amps to drive a speaker or using two different channels in the same amps to drive a speaker ? I'm confused....

No, the receiver can't do the lsi justice.
Hook up ALL 5 of your speakers to the amplifier. No bi-wiring/bi-amping needed.
