I'll bet this is a first, but i've got to ask it anyway.

I purchased my csi5 center in black, when i later found out that the cherry finish would have complemented my set up a lot better. When i purchase my rti8's, I would like to have them in cherry, so my question is, is there a certain kind of stain, or paint i could use to coat my center so it matches my cherry fronts??

I wouldn't paint it and I don't think stain would work. just put something else near the front stage that's decorative and black to balance it out and make it look like you did it on purpose. Matching is boring sometimes.

You could have them reveneered in cherry....probably cost more than buying a new one in cherry.
