Ok, I know I could look this up on the Paypal site but I thought it would be easier to ask you experienced Polkie sellers first.

I want to place my old SVS sub on the classified area to sell. However since I have never sold anything over the internet, I do not know how to set up my Paypal so that whoever wants to purchase the sub can pay me. Umm... so how you do that?

:)

I really do feel like a newbie now. heehee.

Just setup a paypal account at paypal.com. They'll have to pay you with a debit card and not a credit card, or you'll have to upgrade your PayPal account. I'm sure some others here will have more info.

Like he said, set up an account with paypal, Just make sure the sensitive areas)bank accounts, etc, are on a https:// URL. Many scamsters out there. Once you set up, they will deposit like 2 cents or so to your account and then remove it to verify everything. Make sure your address is the same as the mailing address on your bank statements or it will take longer to verify. Once setup, then they send you money using your email address.
    Hope this helps.

Thanks so much for the information. My fault for not giving you guys more information.

I do have a Paypal account already that I use regularly to purchase on ebay and other sites. I was just unsure how other people could send money to it to purchase items from me. I have never sold anything online.

It sounds like they can go to the Paypal site and send me money directly into my Paypal account. Is this correct?
