Microsoft Vista Demonstration Disaster
Demiurge

Microsoft's Vista Product Demonstration to analysts on July 27 was a disaster. It is unlikely that the OS will ship in January.
See this hilarious video before it is pulled down (Microsoft and CNBC have already removed it from their sites).

Here are some more Microsoft movies that are quite funny:

Why do you say it's unlikely to ship in Janurary? The current beta not only out performs XP, but it has massive amounts of new features already complete.
Yeah the demonstration bombed but I saw a live demonstration of the speech recognition when Vista wasn't even a public beta and it was very well done and didn't miss anything. Not sure what happened in this demonstration (they said it was due to the echoing but it's always possible that's covering up the fact that voice recognition cannot be perfected yet). -
Speech recognition is a tough thing to implement. I'm surprised they tried to demo it.
I'm hoping Microsoft hits a homerun with Vista. I'll be sticking with OS X, indefinitely, but if Vista can bring the OS X user experience to the rest of the computing world, it will be a big step forward for home computing (i.e. I don't want to troubleshoot Windows problems for my family anymore )Rega P3 > Parasound Zphono > NAD C320BEE > Polk LSi 15
