monitor 10's as fronts and rears??

already have a set of 10's for the front and a monitor for the center, have a chance to get another set of 10's for the rears, but, being rears, shouldnt they be up at ear level in an h/t system? and if so, those 10's are pretty big to be up that high...thoughts??
would the r15's be a better fit?
