Please Help Front Speakers
Here is my setup at this point, I want to get rid of the rte1000p's becuase they are too large and dont fit the set up in my living room. On the back of the speakers it states rte1000p but the manual states rt1000p cant find them in any search engine. Anyways I want to replace these with a pair of book shelf size or something around that size that would mix with the rest of my Polk speakers. Here is what else I have a cs400 center speaker and 2 m311 rear speakers. Any suggestions would be appreciated. If you need any more info please post and I will try and answer the best I can.
Thanks
Thanks

Welcome to the Club Polk Forums! I know those speakers you have are pretty large but I am not familiar with their sound. I'm sure there are others here on this Forum that can give you advice. Welcome and thanks for joining us!
What else can you tell us about your system?:)Carl -
Here is what else I have in the system, Time Warner Cable HDTV setup with DVR, Misubishi WD65731 1080P, Yamaha rxv795a av reciever, Toshiba hd dvd hd-a1, and of course the speakers listed above. I need to add the two front speakers that I am looking for recomendations on. I am going to sell the 1000p's and let someone else put them to good use. They have always treated me well I am just looking for a better and cleaner look.
Thanks for the warm welcome and I look forward to helping the cause around here.:) -
I toggled the Home Page and could only find the manual.
As far as Polk recommendations if you have the butget and are into music, I would recommend the LSi series. You will need a lot of high current power to do this 4 ohm speaker justice.
If your interest is mainly HT, then the RTi series is probably for you. Check out the RTi8's, RTi10's or RTi12's.

According to what I see the RTI12, 10 and 8's are larger speakers close to the size of the rte1000p's, I see the RTI4's are bookshelf would these be a good addition to the others listed above? I watch more movies then listen to music and budget is pretty favorable at this time. Wife has not complained yet since I started to upgrage the HT. She just wants it done so we can put the living room back together and get back to normal.

The RTi8's, 10's and 12's are tall, but not too wide. The RTi4's and 6's are nice and a true bookself type size. Once the stands are added to these, they take up as much space as the larger speakers. I had the RTi6's as rear surrounds and loved them. They have a larger woofer and go a little deeper in bass than the RTi4's.Carl
