It wont destroy the tv, but you will see like a green screen or bars in your picture which indicates speaker interference. My suggestion is trash it and get a SVS, corner load it and smile. Just kidding, velodyne are excellent products as well. You also want to make sure any vibration does move your TV off its stand ect, I think you would get more bass with a corner loaded setup. Just my thoughts.Shoot the jumper.....................BALLIN.............!!!!!

My sub has a huge magnet and is like 1' under my TV and slightly to the right... no distortion of any kind.- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.

the reason i ask is i have a projection model and when I had my sub sat to close to the tv the picture would shake when my sub really started digging deep or when I cranked it up alittle to loud....not coolCasey

mine is a rear projector so im not sure. did that green tint u were mentioning go away when the sub is removed? does the shaking of the guns ruin the tv??
-
if you have a green tint on your tv you need to degauss it.. on some TV's this happens if you turn it off then turn it back on.. but not all tv's have the ability to degaussPolkFest 2012, who's going>?

so i finally got around to moving the sub behind the tv. I think i like it more. It used to be in the opposite corner, kinda isolated. Now it is behind the 3 main speakers. Bass sounds much more in sync i guess is the best way to describe it. Ill try it for a little and see what happens to the tv.
Thanks for the help!
p.s. do you think putting the sub on a slab of mdf would be a good preventative action to reduce vibration for the tv? -
try the rubber feet heres a link from parts express, instead of drilling into the cabinet try to use double sided tape, it should work. this will reduce vibration and keep the sub from "walking" during heavy bass tracks/music.

Yea, I used a sub for a t.v. stand for a 20" POC t.v. during a transition phase when a former roomate took the 32" (****.) Anyhow, the green in the corners never went away.UNIVERA

im not worried about the sub walking, becuase my tv is in a corner and the sub barley fits behind it. Im just worried about vibrating the tv/floor. THe woofer is facing the back of the tv (43" rear projector). i just dont want the vibrations to unalign the guns, yada yada yada, more stuff im a noobie at...
