I have an HK Signature 2.1 amp that has a bad (blown?) channel. It is the front right, if that is important. It appears to be shorted out, as the resistor(?) is “burnt” looking . I absolutely do not know how to fix it, and was hoping someone here in Polk land would like to try his or her hand at it.

I considered sending it off for repair, but thought I would just pony up for a new B&K, Anthem, or similar amp. (Recomendations appreciated. 200W min.) Seems like the logical step to take, as I will one day replace my HK AVR-525 as I work my way up to all separates. Just trying to get my whole system to match my great all Lsi 5.1 (ok, the sub is an SVS).

I disconnected the bad channel, and the other four channels work perfectly. For the time being, I am running my mains and center off of the Sig. and my rears off of my AVR.

FYI, I purchased this amp on ebay in May of this year. Paid $350.00, shipped.

If anyone is interested, I would take $125.00 for it today. The shipping would be $35.00 or actual, whichever is cheaper. Thanks, and let me know.
