Surroundbar and Yamaha RX-V2600
Hi I just purchased a polk surroundbar and a yamaha RX-V2600 receiver. I hooked up all the wires as instructed and I ran the optimizer YPAO to optimize the settings for the receiver. Everything came out ok EXCEPT it keeps on complaining about the polarity being wrong on the surround right channel. I double and triple checked the polarity on the back of the surroundbar and the receiver. It still gives me the same issue. I changed the wires and it still gives me the same crap. Do you guys think I have a defective surroundbar? Any other tips to try before I return the speaker to crutchfield? Thanks!

Sorry I can't help with the soundbar question, but I'm hoping the problem isn't the v2600. I'm shopping for one, and just slightly concerned about some comments I've read about people having issues with the yammie being compatible with other components. Yours is the first I've read about any problem with a speaker, but I've seen two other notes from owners where the 2600 didn't play nice with a second hdmi input from their particular source.
DBuys has it for $853 delivered, so I'm awfully tempted.
I hope you can get some help on teh soundbar.

1. It's not likely to be the SurroundBar. I have a Yamaha RX-V2400 and had a similar problem with a different speaker. I just cannot recall what corrective action I took at the time (I'm temporarily brain-dead!!).
2. In any case, have a look here and your problem may be solved:
http://www.polkaudio.com/SurroundBar/faq.php
Take note of Item #11 in these FAQ's.
3. If you've used your Yamaha receiver with other speakers prior to connecting the SurroundBar you might want to go through the set-up menu and adjust the settings to "0" or "1" (neutral positions); this should correct any previous selections that were made by the YPAO (distance, etc) and a sound pressure meter (if you've used one).
4. You may also find some additional info at the very top of this "Speaker' forum; the thread is primarily focused on the SurroundBar.

The Polarity problem is just a standing room reflection, the microphone can get confushed at times, this is perfectly normal. Also, every unit with HDMI will have issues, because HDMI is a JOKE.
