This is just a rant post, so bear with me.

I work for a local audio shop as an installer. Every now and then I'm up front doing sales if were really busy or something like that. Yesterday, a guy comes in thats wanting a single 12 for his truck. I set him up with over $500 worth of stuff (box, amp, and sub). We go to the check out and he pulls out his card and says hes not sure if it'll run or not, but if it doesn't, hell come back and pay with cash. Sure enough, it doesn't run, so he leaves and comes back about an hour and a half later.

Well, we have this big hispanic guy, probably in his 30s, that used to be roommates with our manager. He comes in and works only on Wednesdays. Hes not too great of a guy. He straight up lies to our manager and he knows it. He has extremely poor hygeine. The **** just smells...And he's not that honest of a guy. I know this, the manager knows this, everyone who works there knows this.

Anyway, guy comes back, I'm out back doing an install. I see his truck and go up front because I know how the mexican is; he will try to steal my sell.(What im about to tell you happens a lot with our other sales guy too) I pick up all the equipment that I quoted him for and set it on the counter. I'm called out again so its sitting on the counter with the mexican to check him out. Now this kid comes in a lot, real cool guy, he's actually friends from high school with the other installer(my roommate). Well I see that the mexican cut him $30 off what I quoted him. Not to mention the first thing the mexican said when he saw me gathering the equipment for the guy "whatever hes selling you, ill sell it to you for $20 less." I asked what was up, he said hes a friend of his and hes cutting him a deal. Well, we work on commission, when someone else cuts a deal for my customer, its taking money out of my pocket, especially considering i had already cut $80 of what we normally sell the stuff for. Anyway, I was like whatever and finish my install. I come back to see all the stuff is wrote on his comission. I decide to stay quiet for a little while. I ask our assistant manager to come to the back with me. I ask him why in the hell he thinks he should get the comission, he says that the mexican said that he talked to him this weekend at a competition about different amps and subs and such. I know better. So I call the kid. Guess the mexican didnt think that I might have his number. I put him on speaker phone. I ask the kid a series of questions with the final summation being "yes i did talk to him at heatwave, but nothing about my system, I didnt even decide i was going to do this until last night" Competition was 3 days ago...

So I wait to my manager gets there, talk to him about it, he asks the mexican to go back there. I go back to working on my stuff and my manager comes back and says heres what I can do, I can just split it 50/50 between the two of you that way theres no confrontation or anything like that. Now dont get me wrong, my manager is an extremely cool guy. He just has a problem with once he thinks he has a good friend, that friend can completely screw him over and hell just ignore it. He knows hes a liar; he knows hes a theif. I have no idea why he keeps him around other than that he was a friend and he cant let **** like that go. I told him I was cool with that, but I just wanted to let him know that i think hes a thieving ****ing lying **** mexican and whatever friendship he had between me and him was completely over.

Like I said in the title, I guess I'm still too young to know how the world really works. I never knew people in their 30s would straight up lie to people over a matter of $15(thats what the comission would be) and how other people just can't see how bad their friends really are...

Ro-sham-bo him for the commision. You'll be out the money, but you'll feel better. Either that, or install something **** backwards and blame it on the 'tard.
There is no genuine justice in any scheme of feeding and coddling the loafer whose only ponderable energies are devoted wholly to reproduction. Nine-tenths of the rights he bellows for are really privileges and he does nothing to deserve them. We not only acquired a vast population of morons, we have inculcated all morons, old or young, with the doctrine that the decent and industrious people of the country are bound to support them for all time.-Menkin

Ask your punk-**** boss what he is going to do the next time it happens. I'm serious. Tell him if its 50/50 again, you'll install somewhere else.

Some people will do ANYTHING to make a buck..even if it includes stealing it from others. That said..I would have a very hard time not being physical with that scumbag...sometimes that's what it takes...these people know how much they can get away with and walk that crooked line their whole lives..

People like that piss me off because you want to punch them but if you do, you're probably going to jail, or at the very least, you will lose your job. Which is why they get away with being jerkoffs their whole lives...that is until they cross the wrong person who doesn't give a $hit and makes this person reconsider crossing anyone again:D

hopefully, he will piss off the wrong person..
