Outlaw Model 7125 7-channel Amplifier

Good Morning Everyone,

Does anyone have any experience with the Outlaw Model 7125 7-channel Amplifier? My system consists of the following: Rti6, CSi5, FXi5, RTi10. I know the 125 watts would runn most of the system with more than enough power, I'm concerned the 10s will be underwpoered. Does anyone have any input or suggestions instead of the outlaw. My budget is only about $1,000.

I'm also considering the Adcom GFA-5503. I'm certain it would power my two fronts and center with ease. The other speakers sound great on my yamaha 5890. But, with this setup, I'm concerned the sound between the two sets of speakers will be noticeably different. Thoughts?

I have the 7125 and it powers my lsi setup great!! If it can power a 4ohm setup it can certainly run your set up with ease, alot easier on the amp... its a monster at 50 or 60 lbs its heavy and never gets even close to hot.. nice amp for the money and they still have B stocks that are 100 off

I think your AVR could definitely handle your FXi5s, Rti6s, If I were you and wanted more power, I would seriously power the front three speakers, I would even go M2200s in a bi-amp config., you can even audition them and return them then go with the 7 channel if you werent happy. Just my 2 cents or just keep saving for the 7500/7700, just my thoughts on it. Those 10s will open up even more with the M2200s or any other amp for that matter. Let us know what you decide.

I auditioned the M2200s, they sound amazing on the 10s! I have a small case of OCD in that I like things uniform. Nonetheless, with the M2200s I couldn't really notice any sound difference between the fron and back.

7700 all the way if you can fit it in your budget, I would love to order one of those up myself. But for the moment I think I have just enough power. Good luck, Im sure you'll post up good reviews once you decide.

The Outlaw M2200 is the EXACT same thing as my NHT A1 bass amps, and I tried them as full range amps too.

IMO, they are GREAT as bass (sub) amps, but a little too grainy for long term main full range amps. YMMV.

What kind of amping are you using in your system. I'm new to this whole audiophile thing now that I can afford to take my first steps. To me, the outlaws sound better than anything else I have heard in their price range. For example, can you recommend any two channel or monoblocks that are of the same quality as the Outlaws? From what I understand, ADCOM, B&K or Parasound to name a few, would run circles around the Outlaws, but cost nearly as twice as much. Do you think this is an accurate statement. Anyone . . .?

My Parasound did not run circles around my Outlaw. They were basically equal in power & made my speakers sing!

Not even close to being accurate. I've had my 7100 for a few years now and have compared it to a few others and the Outlaw always holds it's own.

I ran my Rti10's off a rotel 1075 (125 wpc) amp with really good results. I imagine that the outlaw would perform very similar. I did add a rotel 1080 (200 wpc) so that I could get 7.1 channels of external amplification, but honestly, I don't really hear that much of a difference. I'm sure there is a little extra headroom, but I have never driven any of my amps to clipping. At most reasonable listening volumes, with 89/90 db efficient speakers, you would be fine.

However, if you feel like down the road you might need or want more amp, it may save you some money in the long run to step up to the outlaw 7x200 amps.

Im loving my M2200s, Im thinking of adding that 3rd to the center channel now, we'll see but my ES put 170 watts x7 so I may not need to go for just yet. We'll see Im still thinking on it though. Hey Solidsqual turn the volume up a notch and enjoy.
