Make sure the left rear POSITVE of the amp is going to the sub's positive and the right rear NEGATIVE to the sub's negative.

Well, it looks like youve got it wired correctly from the amp but again, check the wiring at the sub.

One thing that did catch my eye; how big is that ground wire youve got there. It looks a lot smaller than the power wire. If it is, that could be your problem.

The amp tells you. Look at the rear speaker outputs. You see the (L+R) above it? That tells you which to use as pos and neg if youre going to bridge.

The sub should also have its terminals marked either by a + or - or red and black.

If the black wire is a lot smaller than the red wire....thats bad.

    Then youre ok there.

Try this. Hook up the sub to ONLY the left rear outputs. In other words, left positive to sub positive and left negative to sub negative. See if the sub works. If it doesnt pop and crackle then you know the sub is ok.

Yeah. If you dont get popping and crackling, then you know your sub is not the problem.

    No, thats bridging the amp..

Does the sub pop and crackle ONLY when you turn on the LPF?

I don't have it like that right now and it is bridged.....here it is left and right, not left and left. 1%2ejpg?&msg=MSG1153871530.4&start=48971&len=351800&mimepart=6&curmbox=F000000001&b=d06a561a8d07a7341c5218b0111bb5c9&disk=64.4.10.68_d1545&login=t_unit616&domain=hotmail%2ecom&_lang=EN&country=US&SafeRedirect=%26hm___ts%3d1153874002%26hm___ha%3d27e75933fb8b6a41feaafde9e2e36e01

Well, I can turn it up if its on or off and it pops and crackles.

I did left and left, it still crackled and popped. Is it the sub? I tried the other one and it did it too. I think there is jus too much power going to the sub, cause when i turn the LPF up, the sub crackels and pops more, and more, and louder, and then it goes into protection mode. Could i fool the amp and make it think I have 2 subs but really only one? Like hooking it up in the right positive and left negative or w/e? That was prolly the dumbest question anybody has ever asked in history but I am dumb and I just want this to work!....

    Some more tests.

I assume the 6x9's are playing fine working off the front channels. If so, hook them up to the rear channels.

If they play fine then either your sub is fried or youve got something wired improperly.

I think it is just wired improperley cause it does it to both subs. I am going to have it re-wired soon.

I'd rather listen to the 6X9's instead of a sub flopping around in a cardboard box. Why even waist your time???

Furthermore, if the trunk rattles when your only running 6X9's I doubt that any respectible girl would even get in that POS. We'll be watching you in the next 40 year old virgin movie at this rate!!!
