A Silly Fan Question....

I was reading some threads over at AVS about cooling fans and I was wondering....do you place the fans to direct the cooler air into the component or to direct the hot air out of the cabinet away from the components?

    My component cabinet fans are set up as exhaust fans. In other words, they pull the hot air out of the cabinet and away from the components. Works the same as a computer fan.

    That's what I thought but I read that someone had it the other way around to cool off the equipment and I was scratching my head.:confused: Thanks

    Exhausting (or drawing hot air out) is better. It allows airflow across the heatsinks.
