Speaker terminals

I just purchased the fllor standing monnitor 50's. There are 4 terminals on the back............two red and two black. Do I need to utilize all and if so how? I am use to just connecting speaker wire; two ends(red and black) at one end and the same at the other.............Maybe this is why I can't get sound.

There should be a little tiny gold colour jumper that goes between the two red (positive) and black (negative) binding posts. You can just leave those in and then hook up your speaker wire to either the top or bottom posts. It doesn't really matter which posts you hook up to as long as those jumpers are in place.
Pics of the jumpers and what you'd do without the jumpers if you don't want to bi-wire or bi-amp them. If you don't have any jumpers (the stock ones) you can do what I did and just place a small (about 4" to 6") piece of wire between the posts.
Even if you only had one set of binding posts hooked up (either the top or the bottom) you should still be getting sound but only from certain drivers in the speaker. I'm not certain if the tops are solely for the tweeter or if it's for the tweeter and one of the mids... If you're not getting any sound at all, it's probably a problem elsewhere.
Hope things work for ya and welcome to the forum
