Polk 1C Cross Over Mod

Over the last 6 months i've experienced a renewed interest in audio. Thanks to this forum.. and a few Polk seniors... the upgrade bug has expanded my Ramen cookup with 37 new receipies!!!
I've acquired 2 pair of 1C's. One pair i picked up on Craigslist the other pair is a tale already told here.
As the xovers suffered shipping damage i decided to have all the componets replaced rather than just solder the connections that needed it. I intend to keep this piar of 1C's singing for a very long time.
Original parts were placed with Sonic Caps and Mills Wirewound resistors and of course the poly switches available free from Polk.
I don't have a before picture but here you go...
The 1C's with the modded xovers have the replacement tweeter so part of the improved SQ can be explained here.
I've burned them in over last few weeks. I remain green in audio and my vocabularly is limted. None the less, i hear a richer, fuller bass and much better detail overall.
My music is now 2 channel only and i'm really enjoying it. My vinyl sounds markedly "better".. so warm, smooth and pure.
Next up a tubed pre.
Thanks again to the members who have helped me along the path of audio nirvanna!
Take care and keep your groove on!
