CSi5 placement

Has anyone had any problems placing the CSi5 on top of a DLP or rear projection TV? I am having trouble buying a credenza with a large enough middle shelf area to house the CSi5. I'm thinking that it would just be best to place the CSi5 on top of the TV. Any thoughts?

Thanks

When I had a CSi5 I placed it right on top of the TV. The stability bar on the back works great for areas like that.

the stability bar does work well, however I cant really say too much cause mine does sit on a shelf, I just have it angled down to listening level. You should be ok, give it a shot.

I'm using the stability bar to angle mine downward also. Is that how you are doing it?

yeah mine is angled down to listening level, (ear level) the shelf mine is on is about 4 inches above the display so its is kind of high, I just adjusted the stand to have the speakers firing down to ear level. Still a very nice speaker and the sound is outstanding. Not to jack this thread but are you using a power amp on your center? If so how is that working for you?

Not yet. Currently I only have 2 IC's to power the RTi8's with the Rotel. My additional IC's will probably be here this coming week, which will also me to bi-amp the Rotel to the RTi8's. Down the road, I might get an additional IC to run the CSi5.

I'm really trying to find out how the RTi8's sound with 200 watts plus, so I can decide if I want to invest in a 5 or 7 channel 200 watt/channel amp for everything.
