It is possible. but unlikely. If it is the weak link in your system - you would hear an improvement, if it is not - you will not hear much difference.

The Csi5 is a good speaker, what else is in your system? You may hear more of an improvement by adding an amplifier, getting a better source, or replacing / upgrading your reciever with a separate Pre/pro.

Monster cable is not neccesarily bad cable, just overpriced (at retail price) and from a company with poor (imo) business practices.

No. Placement and proper set up will though. Try this...

Calibration will have a big impact as well...

As Willow said if youre using crap speaker wire it will make a difference. I ran new monster 12 ga wire to my FXi3s and noticed a huge change, but I was using crappy speaker wire, it was so thin its funny. Im almost embarrassed to tell you guys about it.

Better sound will come from a few things, more power, a quality connection(u have that from what it sounds like), proper calibration, and reviewing your receiver settings for the center and the rest of your speakers for that matter.

Look into those things, let us know something, HOLLA........Its the ROC:D

You have a good cable to the center channel so this would be the next step. I just re-calibrated my system again and it was a definate improvement with the center channel. I still need to reposition it but a shelf is currently limiting the angle.

Then after doing this if you still have trouble with the sound, then try adding an amp.

Hey Burnzy, My CSi5 is on a shelf above my TV also, I am just using the stablility stand on the back of it to position the center so that it is firing down to listening level, give that a shot and see how it works for you.

Yep, but I need to move the shelf up another notch so I can get more of an angle to it. Not sure how or what the WAF would be in doing this since the doors would not match up with the bottom part of the shelf.

Maybe I'll try it sometime this week and report back...

You can just get a couple of dark brown door stops at wal-mart and put them under the back of the speaker to tilt the speaker forward.

It is a cheap solution and works very well.

I took a piece a 2x4 and cut it a nice angle, painted it black and it adjusted my old center accordingly, with the CSi5 the stability stand does the trick perfectly.
