With my purchase of Doro's Onkyo for the lil kevin I am now searching for something for him to hear this piece of equip. on. Looking for a reasonable. ......er cheap set of bookshelves for him to start on. He is currently trashing a JVC boombox:eek: so any upgrade would be welcome. Anybody got a pair laying around?

Don't like him much so lets keep it reasonable.

    They have the R15's in black for $39.99/pr again :D

    I like my R15's and often listen to them when I'm sitting here at my computer (they're on either side of my monitor) or if I just don't feel like having the big SDA's turned on. The sound that can come out of these little speakers is quite surprising, but may not be "loud enough" depending on your son's musical tastes.

    You could run two pairs of those on the Onkyo.
    CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.
