A friend of mine just bought the Pioneer VSX-1015TX to go with his Polk RM-6200 speakers and PSW303 subwoofer. He is not happy with the bass.
Should all speakers be set to small?
How should the sub be hooked up? He is using the 2 Line In RCA jacks but is not happy with the sound.

Yes, do set the speakers to small. This will send the bass to the sub.
He should only need 1 RCA cable from the sub pre-out to 1 line in on the sub. Make sure the receiver is set to Subwoofer = yes, and it should be good to go.Main Rig

All speakers are set to small and he has the sub pre out going into both filtered line in using a y cable. He is not happy with the sound. The speakers are the RM6200 series and I think they only go down to 100Hz and the xover is at 80 on the AVR so I also believe he is missing everything between 80 & 100 hz. He is not using the speaker level inputs on the back of the sub.No Kids Allowed
