If you want to hear the men who define Dixieland music ala Trumpet(Al Hirt) and Clarinet(Pete Fountain)...this is your vinyl paradise. I have 8 albums total, and here are the particulars:
Artist: Al Hirt
Title: Mardi Gras(LIVE)
Label & Catalog ID: RCA ANL1-2657-A - Stereo
Cover Condition: NM(PLASTIC)
Sleeve Condition: NM
Record Condition: NM
Notes: Excellent condition, nothing of note. The Cover is still wrapped in plastic, but has been opened.
Artist: Al Hirt
Title: Horn A-Plenty
Label & Catalog ID: RCA Victor LSP-2446 - Stereo
Cover Condition: VG+
Sleeve Condition: VG
Record Condition: NM
Notes: This is the sought after Living Stereo pressing and it's real nice. The cover looks fantastic but the sleeve has a couple creases. It's an original picture sleeve, so I thought it was best to downgrade the sleeve other than use a new one.
Artist: Al Hirt & Pete Fountain
Title: Super Jazz(DOUBLE ALBUM)
Label & Catalog ID: Monument MP6802 - Stereo
Cover Condition: VG+
Sleeve Condition: VG
Record Condition: NM
Notes: This is a double album. As stated previously, the sleeves are original picture sleeves and while not perfect, are best kept original. The cover has a rub on the bottom front but no spine issues and the inside gatefold is great.
Artist: Al Hirt
Title: The Sound of Christmas
Label & Catalog ID: RCA Victor LSP 3417 - Stereo
Cover Condition: VG+(PLASTIC)
Sleeve Condition: NM
Record Condition: VG+
Notes: The record has one small rub on one side, but isn't a scratch. It has a small scratch on the hub, but is not on the playable surface. The cover has a bumped corner but is still wrapped in plastic, which has been opened. I have no idea what moron put a tiny staple in the upper left corner, but exists. This cover would be damn near NM if that wasn't present. I bent the sleeve corner intentionally so the record would slide in correctly, so there you have it.
Artist: Pete Fountain
Title: Pete Fountain & The All-Star Dixielanders(LIVE)
Label & Catalog ID: Pickwick CAS-727 - Stereo
Cover Condition: NM(PLASTIC)
Sleeve Condition: NM
Record Condition: NM
Notes: Excellent condition, nothing of note. The Cover is still wrapped in plastic, but has been opened.
Artist: Pete Fountain
Title: Lawrence Welk presents Pete Fountain
Label & Catalog ID: CRL 57200 - Stereo
Cover Condition: VG+
Sleeve Condition: NM
Record Condition: VG+
Notes: The cover has a small corner bump and the record would be NM if it didn't have some spindle marks from an idiot. Real HEAVY Coral pressing, very nice to hold.
Artist: Pete Fountain
Title: New Orleans, Tennesee
Label & Catalog ID: MCA-508 - Stereo
Cover Condition: NM(PLASTIC)
Sleeve Condition: NM
Record Condition: VG+
Notes: The cover is still wrapped in plastic, but has been opened. The record has a couple rubs on one side, but they don't appear to be scratches...just to be safe I graded it lower.
Artist: Pete Fountain
Title: Something Misty
Label & Catalog ID: MCA-176 - Stereo
Cover Condition: NM(PLASTIC)
Sleeve Condition: NM
Record Condition: NM
Notes: I think the label was actually a little off at pressing so the spindle rub looks worse than it actually is. The cover is still wrapped in plastic, but has been opened
