FS: Knight Mono's Tube Monoblocks ~40W/channel

These amps were created by Gary Dodd and RuSsMan as a special project. The amps started life as Knight Monoblock integrated amps and were handed off to Gary to modify them into straight monoblock amplifiers. This was done as a "one off" type project. To replicate it, you'd have to find the iron (very rare) and then somehow bribe Gary to modify and voice the amps.

Total History can be seen in these threads:
http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?t=29759&highlight=knight+Monos

The amps come with the same tubes: 4 NOS GE 12AX7's, NOS Sylvania NOS 5U4 Rectifiers, and a matched quad of 6L6's

Rules: I'm the seller of these UNIQUE items, so what I say, goes. I'm being moderately difficult since these amps are unique as they are the only 2 in existance.

1). Prices are FIRM
2). If you re-sell, you must agree offer them here for at least a week first

Price:
RuSsMaN :$900 Shipped
Polkies >2000 Posts: $900 + Shipping (Or $950 Shipped, whichever is less)
Polkies >1000 Posts: $925 + Shipping (Or $975 Shipped, whichever is less)
Polkies >150 Posts:$950 + Shipping (Or $1K Shipped, whichever is less)
Everyone Else: Become more involved for a bit, or offer a bribe... ;)

RuSsMan and my Brother automatically have "dibs" over everyone until Thursday morning.

I think I represent about half the views so far... With Russman involved in the creation I'm sure there good but I'd have to drag out some RTA's(No problem there) to really enjoy these. I'll keep an eye out for a while and if it looks like things are not moving at the speed you want perhaps I'll pull the trigger.

I just don't want any of those guys with 20 posts to come in and snap up some damn good year and then never be heard of again, hence the goofy terms.

H-Bomb- I'm looking at moving them by September so I'm not in any really big hurry so take all the time you need.

Nice post James, these would probably fetch substantially more with the general populous. I appreciate the return sale offer, but decline - only because I have my audio kitty tied up for other projects.

Henry, don't wait on this one bro. If you can close escrow on these, JUST DO IT. Very rare, and diserable iron - and completely rebuilt.

    Cheers,
    Russ

I have an architural stone for the placement of a turn table and it "should" be here this week. It's 3'X3' by 2"s thick and weighs a ton and has taken a lot of patience to grab. It will be installed as the centerpiece of the bomb shelter with only the TT resting on its mass.

As Russ can state, I have more than enough electronics to hook everything up at this point. When I get the stone set with my VPI then I'll decide... September sounds to be just about right for more electronics and these mono's are something right up my alley!!!

One of you hardcore guys need to quit pondering, and cut the damn check already. They are THAT good. If I didn't have my Allen organ amps, and 2 sets of Heathkit monos, I'd be buying these back just to horde.

Matter of fact, let me look around and see what I can sell around here.

Beutiful amps, I am not ready or worthy of such greatness but some day.
You picked a great audiophile cd to test them with. I say to myself "watch it will be an AC DC disc" and it was. The new owner will be smiling for a long time after they hear these amps sing.
