Newer version of Gladiator

Hey I love this movie but I have the original version when it first released. I was curious if the new version of Gladiator is similar to what the new version of Titanic is. With Titanic, the video was no longer super squashed and it had been stretched out to fill my screen more with the newer version and the picture quality was greatly enhanced. If this is the case with the new version of Gladiator, I'm picking it up today. Any comments?
