I wish they would do something around here...

Our population would go down by like... 30%...

The majority of hispanics in your town are not illegal.

Its not as easy as you guys think to get in America legally. I do agree that these immigrants should do whatever it takes to become legal. However they shouldn't be treated like lazy criminals.

    Nor should it be.

If you, they, them are an illegal immigrant, you, they, them are a common criminal and should be treated as such.

Well we can take out the you, and them from that sentence. What about the ones who enter illegally, then do what they need to do to become legal? Would you still treat them like criminals?

Why not? They may not be lazy in some senses, but they are, by definition, criminals.

And once they're legal they're no longer criminals (although they once were, so I guess they're recovering criminals....). But the thing you SHOULD do is be legal before you COME here. If you can't become a citezen, get your green card or work visa, an dwhile you're here LEGALLY, get your citezenship.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

If they enter illegally, theyre criminals. Are they on the same level as a bank robber or rapist? Obviously not, but theyve still broken the law and theyre still in this country illegally. And if caught they should be deported.

What did they do to become legal, go back home and start the process legally or did they commit additional fraud in the process to become legal. If the latter, they should be stripped of their citizenship and deported.

What about when you speed and don't get caught, you are still breaking the law. Does breaking the law make you a criminal?

I believe we need to focus more energy on illegal immigration, alot more. I do not believe in implanting chips under someones skin. I believe that goes along the lines of putting a tattoo on someone, and we all know who did that......

I thought I read something about when you break the law that you are a criminal. Are these things at the same level, ofcourse not. I was actually having a little fun here.

Your idea about implanting chips under a person's skin is just absurd, not very intelligent at all.

The speeding point has been made in several of the Illegal Immigrant threads that have been done here........I don't remember who specifically made the point in the others, thus the "People".......if you're making the same comment over and over like that then ya, "you're" making a stupid arguement.

I don't always stop before the white line at a red light. I must be equated to a rapist too.

I'm not saying I don't deserve a ticket if that deserves a ticket, but don't hold legal americans to a standard that you aren't going to hold ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS to rather than justifying their existence here by saying they deserve to be here because I parked 13" off the curb. If that doesn't sound like a 'stupid arguement' to you, then there are bigger issues to deal with.

When the heck did I say they deserve to be here? Short term memory problems?

You are full of it. I have already stated that it is not at the same level, if this is beyond you then there is not much more I can say ;).....

What your'e not getting is that there ARE people that use the speeding arguement to justify illegals. I don't find the sarcasm in it at all.

I was not using it for that, just having a little fun on this online forum.

I am not for illegal immigration one bit. I know that immigration must be controlled. We cannot just allow anyone to come into this country. I believe this is extremely important due to both the threat of terrorism, and the drain on our monetary resources. That is my stance.

    Here, let me help you:

If you are speeding, you should get a ticket. If you are not caught, you don't get one but you still broke the law. Yes, you are a criminal

If you are here illegally, you should be deported. If you are not caught, so be it. Yes, you are a criminal.

Here's the difference: scale. Stealing a pencil should result in less of a penalty than raping and murdering someone. Same thing here, speeding you get a small fine, do it too much and your driving privelage is removed. Come to the country illegally, get deported. Do it twice, spend time in prison in your host country.

No community services should be offerred to these people beyond life saving medical care and two illegals having a child in the US should have that child fall under the law the US provides for ambassadors and the child is of the legal nationality of the parents and not a US citzen...

And as for those people who say that these illegals should be made citizens since we can't round them up, BS. Do like Hazleton is doing. Make it impossible to hire or house these people but offer them free rides out of the country. Oughtta work. We could start a guest worker program where you apply and get ID cards from a US embassy in your original country if we really do need the cheap labor.
There is no genuine justice in any scheme of feeding and coddling the loafer whose only ponderable energies are devoted wholly to reproduction. Nine-tenths of the rights he bellows for are really privileges and he does nothing to deserve them. We not only acquired a vast population of morons, we have inculcated all morons, old or young, with the doctrine that the decent and industrious people of the country are bound to support them for all time.-Menkin

Right! Not all crime are "criminal". As stupid as that sounds its true. If you Jay walk, youre not a criminal. If you crank your stereo up too loud and piss of the neighbors youre not a criminal (although you should be shot) if you shoplift, youre a criminal.

You want to equate illegal immigration to a crime, do it to shoplifting. Theyre about on the same level and both are misdemeanors (if under $500).
