    Binary numbers

    Dec Binary
    0 0000
    1 0001
    2 0010
    3 0011

Here is a link to a Wikipedia article. This should explain why there are only 10 (2) types of people in the world, those who understand binary and those who don't.

a site link that Brettw22 had posted regarding a Munchkin hibachi for sale.

That site also had listed for sale a digital watch. I mean a digital watch that didn't display numerals, just led lights for 1's and 0's. Talk about nerdy ! If I could have figured out how much 59 "drachmas" or "dinars" or "whatever-monetary-unit" meant in real money, I might have bought one.

Did someone hack Jstas's account and put that up as a joke? Or is that really him? It seems too perfect.

BTW, here's the bash.org entry I was referring to.

Was it Yang Wang? In calculus he always related the rate of GPA decline to beers consumed.

I sure as hell didn't have any other math profs that would have made a joke.

Nope, it was Ron Shonkwiler in CS/MATH 4777 (Vector and Parallel Scientific Computing). There was precious little opportunity for humor in that class, but he managed somehow :p

I had other math profs that made jokes - usually snuck them in after the time when everyone stopped paying attention (either due to boredom or brain overload, or both).
