Well I just got my Rti12s in. One thing I can tell you is that some shipping companies could care less about your gear unless it's their own. I unpack one of the 12s and setup goes well, the other one I wish I could say the same. Thank goodness the cabinet wasnt damaged, however I had one of the 7 inch drivers just hanging out of it once I took the grill off to inspect it. Not only that but the base plate screws were missing so I had to go to a local hardware store to get a somewhat similar to match. I have notified crutchfield and they are sending me out another woofer. (no biggie I guess, beats shipping the tower back from japan again). So anyway I did go ahead and put the original driver back in, reinstalled the mounting screws, etc and fired em up. Everything was a go from there on, they work just fine.

On the review side and Im no audiophile by any means here, I just like good quality sound. Just driving them with my Sony 7100 es ,the fronts they get loud and the bass isnt that bad. When I run just 2 channel plus the sub(pb12 plus 2 from svs) I cant take it in my listening room, the things get too loud and fast. This is minus the two outlaw M2200 amps that I will install this week once I get the audio connects in. I do like the size of these things, very tall, big. I'm using Monster speaker wire 12awg I believe so its not that bad. In my opinion these are great mid level speakers ( I guess they are midlevel). I can only imagine what higher end speakers sound like cause to me these things sound dang on good. I know, such a sucky review more like an opinion.

I just wish Polk would styrofoam the front of the speakers to prevent damage in the future.
Shoot the jumper.....................BALLIN.............!!!!!

Nothing midlevel about them. About the best you can get without people starting to question your sanity.
There is no genuine justice in any scheme of feeding and coddling the loafer whose only ponderable energies are devoted wholly to reproduction. Nine-tenths of the rights he bellows for are really privileges and he does nothing to deserve them. We not only acquired a vast population of morons, we have inculcated all morons, old or young, with the doctrine that the decent and industrious people of the country are bound to support them for all time.-Menkin

Almost the exact same damage happened to a set we got at the store. Except the grill also had a large hole in it.

The only "levels" in hi-fi are EGO levels. If you like them, then you made a good choice.

    Congats & enjoy!

I picked up our 12's a couple of years ago from C.C., when I unpacked them, one of the grills was mangled.

Instead of going back to C.C. I called Polk and received not one,but two new replacement grills within 3 days.

You can't beat Polks customer service, and you can't beat the 12's for an all around speaker, give them plenty of power and they will sing:D

I'm thinking about picking up a pair myself, hella cool speaker.
Check your lips at the door woman. Shake your hips like battleships. Yeah, all the white girls trip when I sing at Sunday service.
