that plywood kind of blends in pretty good with the walnut veneer, don't you think ? :(

"Harvey “Gizmo” Rosenberg was my uncle and a legend in the audio industry. He died suddenly at age 59 on July 16, 2001 after suffering a massive heart attack while on a business trip in Illinois."

.....he probably finally realized what he had done to those Tannoy's.

Goes to show, there is such a thing as being TOO smart and/or eccentric.

What a jerk. I hate seeing beatiful vintage gear ruined for the rest of us by hacks.
Tannoy Dimension TD10, SOTA Star Sapphire, Heathkit W4A's, McIntosh MC2100, Eddie-Current Zana Deux, Singlepower SDS, Sennheiser HD650, Audio-Technica L3000, Sony Qualia 010

I've had the Meta-gizmo site bookmarked for a few years. Rosenberg was an interesting character to say the least. I'm in the "once you buy it...it's yours to do whatever you want" camp.

Eccentric? Yes. But, hardly a "jerk" or hack". Do some reading. Here's a good start, in Gizmo's own words, noting the tube crossover theory:

I'd like to burn those with a flamethrower.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Of all the speakers on my "must hear before I die" list, these are at the top. Atleast the original panels will be included.
