I recently moved and i will change my HT configuration. I'm thinking of switching from mounting my surround speakers on roman colums to mounting them with wall brackets. Now, the F/X1000 have built in wall brackets but i don't really know which wall brackets/stands are compatible with the them.
There are 2 things that i have to keep in mind. First, these beasts weight in at around 25 lbs/piece so most commercialy available wall brackets won't support them. Second, the F/X1000's aren't squared shaped, they look more like a triangle with cut-off/flat edges which makes side clamping wall brackets like the B-Tech 77 obsolete (or does it ?).

So, i am asking all the polkies here that have mounted their F/X1000 with wall brackets for their help/advice. It would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance

The B-Tech 77 is an excellent bracket, but I wouldn't suggest it for that application. The built-in FX1000 bracket is 100% fine for flush mounting using the apropriate mounting hardware suggested in the user manual.
The FX series has a small clamping surface, but it's at the rear most portion of the speaker. The BTech would certainly fit in that area, but it doesn't balance very well and would cause me personally, some concern unless they are additionally secured to the wall with a safety wire.
Just mount them as the manual suggests, you'll be fine.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint. -
Thanks for your quick reply dorokusai. I found the template, screws and rubber pads provided with the FX1000 (my office looks like a mess now....). I'll mount them using the provided brackets.
Thanks again for you helpRT2000i

The only other brackets I found that will hold these beasts are from Omnimount. These require drilling into the back of the 1000's (Polk approved), but give you the flexibility to hang from the ceiling and aim the speakers as needed. For sidewall mounting, your pretty much stuck with the provided speaker mounts.

Consider yourself lucky to have the rubber pads and template... there's a bit more work involved if you don't have these... I know from experienceBrian Knauss
