Took a little break from painting the house and got a chance to get a little fishing in. Grabbed the wife and the boat. Caught about a dozen of these. Biggest one was 3# Any other anglers out there?

Nice catch del. No cats up here, just Lake Trout (big ones), Arctic Char, Arctic Grayling, Whitefish, Northern Pike and Pickerle. Really miss Atlantic Salmon on the fly back East.

We're going to go fishing towards the end of July, not sure where yet.

Might go down to Table Rock, stop at the Current River on the way back.

Get a map of the sunken Christmas trees, rent a pontoon, load up the coolers with Diet Doctor Pepper, bucket of home-caught crawdads and minnows caught with a glass minnow jug, and ......

Niced fish. Lake trout get huge. I loved to fish for trout when I lived in California. No trout here in S.E. Ohio. Might be some in the pay lakes.

Carp fishing can be a blast, they're powerful and take some skill in landing.
Kind of like catching a mini-torpedo.
Zoom here, zoom there, zoom all over the place.
You can pickle carp, and I swear it takes like pickled herring.

Another "garbage" fish (what a lot of people consider them) that likes to "zoom" is the drum.
We catch them down on the Current River. Nice size, and a HUGE amount of white meat on them.
    Fun to catch.
Hook 'em, and they'll meekly swim into shore as you reel them in.
Until, that is, they wake up and realize what's going on. Then it's Power-Fish-on-Steroids and ZOOOOOOOOOM !! Out into the middle of the river, and heading for god-knows-where !!

Tougher mouth than a carp, but still papery, so it takes some skill to land.

We'll only eat carp and drum from very clean water, though. I won't eat anything out of the Missouri or Mississippi.

We absolutely love to fish - fresh and salt. Here's a couple from a trip my oldest son, Dustin, and I made to Abaco, Bahamas. Bonefish (pound for pound the most exciting fish we've encountered) and baracudda.

A guy came by right after the 'cudda shots and swapped us two T-bones for the fish. He wanted to use them for cut bait out down rigging off the shelf, where the water drops to a mile deep. Hope he caught something big. The steaks were excellent!

Yes it is a Pike, not sure how heavy, but it would probably be between 40 and 50 lbs. The teeth would be huge on that Mother.
