Saw Click last night. It was your pretty average Adam Sandler movie. I think if you enjoyed his other movies, such as Happy Gilmour, you'd like this one too. There were a couple boring parts but some others where it had everybody just crying they were laughing so hard. I havn't been to the theater in a while, but I'm glad I did because it was definatly good for a few laughs. It's obviously a movie that doesn't really play into the whole theater deal (where seeing it on the big screen is a must ~ lord of the rings style), but it is worth a rent.

    I can't stand Sandler.

it was a little above average movie i thought.. kind of funny in some parts.. but what i liked about the movie was the message it sent towards the end of it.

I won't spoil it for anyone.. but the message is what's important here.

Both great points. I totally forgot to mention Kate... mmmmm Kate. :D

There was a very good moral to the story. I hadn't expected for a comedy like this to touch on such an important aspect or way of living your life. I'm glad they managed to put something like that into it. (keeping it vague for those who havn't seen it)

Saw this movie with my gf on July 4th....Kate, mmmmmmm (of course, I didn't express this in front of my gf :p )

I like this movie quite a bit despite the fact that the comedic aspect was kinda flat. The last part of the movie, particularly the scenes with Sandler's character and his father (played by The Fonz Henry Winkler), saved the "more ordinary" first half of the film. Without going into details, I have to give credit for Sandler for pushing forward as an actor and producer. The movie may not be an original concept, but I highly recommend it.

I'm sort of 'neutral' on Adam Sandler but for those who don't like him you may change your opinion if you view "Punch-Drunk Love." There's some well written humor in this movie but also a well-acted serious theme by all of the participants.

I have a two-disc special edition that I picked up at a favorable price a few months ago. Great sound also - DTS, DTS-EX.

Haha, Jesus, Punch-Drunk Love had to be one of the worst movies I've seen in the past few years. I don't even th ink I made it all the way through.

Adam Sandler does ONE thing well, and that's act like a jackass. It works for him. Happy Gilmore, Billy Madison, Waterboy -- if you like moronic comedies (I do if I'm int he right mood) he's perfect for them. When he gets all schmaltzy, like he has been lately (50 First Dates, Spanglish, Big Daddy, and now I assume Click) he's just another awful actor who likes to lay on the cheesy over-sentimental garbage.

I'll probably rent this but even then grudgingly.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

PDL and Spanglish has to be two of the worst movies i have ever seen. I do like Adam S. dum comedies for the most part. When he is not making out with Drew Barrymore that is.;)
Heard this one is more of a tear jerker - check it out tonight.....

We don't need no stinking plot. Kate spends half of this movie being a "housewife" in a pair of boxer shorts. That's all you need to know

I didn't read the whole thread, but I thought ya'll would get a kick out of this:

Kevin O'Doyle: What kind of stereo do you have?
Michael Newman: I don't know, Kevin, I never checked.
Kevin O'Doyle: Well my dad's stereo is a Bose.
Michael Newman: [yell's while driving away] What? Your Dad's stereo blows? Well that's too bad!

Kate's lookin' pretty smokin in this movie, but for some strange reason, she's still hotter as a vampire.

I didn't find the movie all that funny, although it had its moments. Sandler still can't act, but despite that, it was entertaining, with a nice little message (that's been beaten into our heads with much better movies, btw).

It's Adam Sandler, so you should know, by now, what you're in store for.

I've seen parts of "Spanglish" and thought he did a decent job in the more serious role. Haven't seen "Punch Drunk Love" but have heard good things about it.

I think Sandler is good at acting like a jackass, but I also get the feeling he's genuine too. That's why I thought Spanglish was so good. I don't think he's too bad of an actor based on those few serious roles he played.

So I would definitely agree that you should know what you're in for. Click had me laughing a lot, and then thinking as well. He was good at getting you to feel sympathetic while still being funny. That doesn't happen often.

I may be confusing it with what I've heard about "Spanglish", which I've only seen parts of.

Nah, apparently the critics loved it. I found it unwatchable, but that doesn't mean much, just personal taste... :)

Went to Blockbuster yesterday and couldn't bring myself to rent "Click." The plot seemed kinda corny. I'm not an Adam Sandler fan, but I actually liked Spanglish. (The woman in the lead role was very good, BTW.)

Based on these comments, I may reconsider renting Click.

PDL is the most different Sandler role I have seen yet. A dark but very good film. Fom the same director as Boogie nights and Magnolia, both also excellent. He puts the same cast in all 3 movies for the most part. Not for everyone, but very good all the same.
