It seems you can't loose these idiots. Even here. How does this drive by advertising pay off? It pisses everyone off too much to buy from them(I hope).
And it's well documented all the discount meds they're selling are fakes.
I wonder if there's any way to strike back?

I wish there was a way..

In the 7-8 years I've been on the internet (with the same e-mail address), I never had a problem with it until about 6 months ago. I'm pretty careful with my e-mail address, and I don't know what started it off, but now I get an average of probably 15 spam e-mails/day. Mostly for the discount drugs, like you mention. I think it happened when my wife ordered something from L.L.Bean and gave them our "regular" address- I always use gmail-

Anyway, I wish there was something I could do, but unfortunately, I doubt that there is. It's just very irritating.

Seriously doubt that an order to LL Bean started it! They are one of the most anal consumer privacy protection companies out there. I'm pretty familier with their approach to protection of information, and they would be shocked to find out that your email address got out to spammers.

all some company has to do is sell your e-mail address and it snowballs from there. The worst spam i get is not the ones from companies trying to sell discount drugs but the ones from people that tell me that they are from overseas and need to get help for a large money transaction and will give me 2 million dollars of it if i use my bank account. I get about 15 of those a day and unless i close my e-mail account i cant get rid of them. Hopefully some strict law will be passed to stop all of this.

I've seen that small electronics guys post on quite a few of the forums I visit. I pity the poor soul that actually gives that person their credit card information.

Here's another thought: I figure that everyone with whom I have ever corresponded via e-mail most likely has my e-mail address stored on their computer. Would it be possible for my e-mail address to have been harvested from someone else's computer by a trojan, or hacker, or somesuch?

    Just thinking.

And I wasn't so much blaming LL Bean as I was just pointing out that that's about the time it started-- and they're about the only online merchant that has my "regular" e-mail address. Oh, and I guess Polk has it, too..:)

Some email bot viruses can take over an email account and forward this crap.
That's the only reason I don't hammer these guys back. Might be the wrong target.
Someone must be responding with orders, or they would move on to a new
scam. Like the white van speakers, there is always one born every minute!

Darn Sperm????? BIZILL, you've been looking at those other websites too long. Take a break.:D
