So since I have upgraded my entire HT setup Im now thinking of purchasing a better cd player, Im looking @ the Sony ES SCD-C2000ES. I'm also debating the Sony DVP-NS3100ES. I could either replace my sony 400(Sony DVP-CX995V ) disc dvd changer or replace the low end sony cd player. Which would you guys opt for?

go with what you like. if that's Sony. then it's ok. but trying other brands is also a good thing.. may revel more from your CD's.. if you don't like say the Marantz.. you could either return it or sell it. I use the Marantz CC4300 5 disc player.. i love it. Sounds really good too.

Just take music that you know very well & audition Sony's & as many other brands that you can. The one that sounds the best is the winner.

Im looking at the same disc changer you have by Marantz, how satisfied are you with the product. How does it measure up in your own opinion to the Sony ES SCD-C2000ES model. Just trying to get somewhat of an idea, I see the marantz is listed at a cheaper price as well, thats a good thing.

As for auditioning the gear, Im in japan right now, needless to say everything offered on the post is low grade stuff, you should see the items in the exchange. In order to get the polk setup I had to order it online, ship it to my company then have it shipped here via bax global. Same with the SVS sub, its just that bad here. So if the Marantz 4300 is better I will just have to go by word of mouth and go for it, versus the sony.

Accessories4less is reputable. Several years back I was dealing with them on a regular basis when they were blowing out AR-303's and 302's for rock bottom prices. I sold a lot of speakers for them and when it was time, they really showed their appreciation.

the ns3100es is a fine universal player, and supports HDMI 1.1. Not bad for $500. It's available online for as low as $350.
