    For that price, you could try them get them and do a comparison between the two. Then you could sell the ones you don't need and only suffer a slight loss.

    I would think so. Monitors are in between the R's and the RTi's in terms of quality.

    That's crazy. You could get an quality 6.0 system for $240.

    If it wasn't for cat expenses, I would buy a pair just on sheer principle just to play around with the 7.1 thing again.

    What I don't understand is that on the website, its says that they are 120 a pair regular price. When I used to work at CC, they had the monitor 30s (which Im under the impression that these are the same speakers) for 200 a pair regular price. why is there a $40 dollar price difference per speaker when they are technically the same speaker?

    That's strange... the Monitor 30's have the tweeter underneath. But personally, I prefer the tweeter on the R15's (not the rest of the R series though) over the Mon30's. Just a preference.
