I think Ive asked this before, does anyone have the Velodyne eq? I forget the # of the product, I think it sells for around 600.00. If someone has it does it work okay, easy to use? thanks

I have a sms1 connected to my Polk 650 sub whichis used for my rear L/R chanels, it really helpd out to flatten the curve & splice the LSiFX into the 650. I run all speakers at the large & send full range to all speakers. I also use a DD12 for the LFE (.1) & again with the eq you can get the curve as flat as your room will allow. I do beleive the SMS1 should be used on subs that do not have room correction, I had it on my older Sunfire in our demo system at my store & that was such a big improvement, I brought one home for my Polk 650. You will be supprised as to how smooth & clean the lows become once the speakers are spliced in at the right freq & the curve is as flat as possible.

There' a few BIN on ebay for $500... I'm considering pulling the trigger on one, too. From what I can tell, it's not too different from a BFD, but far easier to use.
You can also use it for correct for sealed passive sub roll off, just be careful not to bottom out the sub.Gallo Ref 3.1 : Bryston 4b SST : Musical fidelity CD Pre : VPI HW-19
