Enjoy the celebration!
Can you give us some insight into the origin of the name "Canada" to represent the former "British North American colonies"? -
The Origin of the Name Canada
"The origin of the name "Canada" comes from the expedition of explorer Jacques Cartier up the St. Lawrence River in 1535. The Iroquois pointing out the route to the village of Stadacona, the future site of Quebec City, used the word "kanata," the Huron-Iroquois word for village. Jacques Cartier used the word Canada to refer to both the settlement of Stadacona and the land surrounding it subject to Chief Donnacona.

Probably going to do something like take a year off and try and get myself into BCIT for their Computer Systems Technology to work towards becoming a network admin. Should be full time for two years and then we'll see what happens after that... I haven't really figured out quite what I want to do but I've been working at a place doing an internship in their eServices department. Mostly grunt IT work but I do get to learn lots and I've made some awesome contacts for later down the road.
Right now I'm thinking something audio related, photography or the IT stuff. It's a lot to think about so I figured a year off would be a welcome break and provide some good time to give it a little bit more thought (also save some cash for pricy pricy school).
Thanks
