Just bought some Romex for a wiring project in our barn. $91.90 for 250ft of 12/2! Felt like I was taking it up the **** big time on that one.
Ludicrous gibs!

$92 is cheap these days. It's $108 for a 250' roll of 12/2 here. When I re-wired my house a couple of years ago, I was paying $24/roll. So, yeah, it's gone up. PVC pipe has, too.

I've got 2500 feet of 12/2 in my garage laying around, (old rewiring projects gone by). I think I paid around $17/250ft for it 4-5 years ago. I have hated moving it around to clean since the stuff is bulky/heavy, now I may want to move it into a safer area.:DHT Optoma HD25 LV on 80" DIY Screen, Anthem MRX 300 Receiver, Pioneer Elite BDP 51FD Polk CS350LS, Polk SDA1C, Polk FX300, Polk RT55, Dual EBS Adire Shiva 320watt tuned to 17hz, ICs-DIY Twisted Prs, Speaker-Raymond Cable

China's explosive industrial growth and the rebuild in the gulf coast are driving the prices up. All building materials are up.

The main thing I buy for my products all day is steel and other metals. That stuff has all been stupid expensive for about 5 years now. Copper is also the main metal in our weld wire so it's the same thing there.
