I am taking a serious look at this product...http://www.av123.com/products_product.php?section=processors&product=28.1

I need some opinions or suggestions on a pre-pro in this price range. I don't mind going a little higher if the features or quality takes a big jump.

Well the flood of responses to my post was so overwhelming, I just couldn't read all of them today. AVS123 had a forum so I went there and searched for some info on the unit. Bottom line....I ordered one. It seems to do exactly what I need it to and at a reasonable price.

I ordered the Emotiva LMC-1 back in January, and Brown has it in their truck for delivery today. YeeHaw! I don't know if they told you, but they will also ship you a free 2x1 HDMI switcher (mfd by Gefen) in a few weeks. This will automatically switch the video source when you change the audio from tv/sat/cable to dvd-very high WAF. They also have the manual posted on their site . Good luck!

Yes I saw that on their website. That company looks like they take good care of their customers....I'm tempted to join their forum.

They'll also let me know about their remote wall unit when it becomes available....I plan on using the built-in amp on the LMC to power a small pair of speakers for the outside porch and I'd like to control it from there.

Oh....let me know what you think of your LMC when you get it.

I received the LMC-1 this afternoon and had planned on taking my new toy out of the box tonight and start some preliminary configurations......play with it! I just checked back w/ their web site and found a whole new thread started by MLS with links to another thread on AVS that announced a major change in the way PLIIx was handled in the processor. Since I don't know if this will be a hardware or soft/firmware change at this time, I won't open the box in case I have to return it.
