Last time I looked, YouTube also has the semi-infamous Grateful Dead appearance ca. 1969 on Hugh Hefner's "Playboy After Dark" TV show. You can read about it in the liner notes to Rhino's remastered AOXOMOXOA CD.
The video actually captures two pretty decent performances (St. Stephen and Mountains of the Moon, both GD faves of mine). -
