I'm not one for posting many movie reviews. (And now you know why! Ha.Ha.) Anyway..
I have an 8-y.o. son, and obviously he was the motivation behind going to the theater, but I enjoyed the show. It was a lot more entertaining than I expected. Cute show, with enough adult-level material to make it interesting, particularly for fans of NASCAR.
Right after we saw "Cars" we moved over the the IMAX theater and watched a NASCAR show and also a fighter pilot movie- I don't remember the acutal names, but they were fairly short (~1hr) presentations designed to wow you with the huge screen action. I had never seen IMAX (I'm a hillbilly-redneck type, Nascar fan, y'all ) so I was impressed.

What "wowed" me about cars was that during the race scenes it did not seem like animation. With debris blowing across the track when the cars passed by down to the incredible surround effects or cars racing, I was awed.
Though the movie was not as good as Shrek, the animation and the surround sound was tremendous. Definitely a buy for me.Holydoc (Home Theatre Lover)

Yeah, my niece told me the same thing, but I am not going to ruin it by going to the theater.

I was wondering how long it would take before this movie made the forum... We saw it and liked it, though it was a bit slow in the middle. We'll buy it.

Took the family to see it Sunday and we all enjoyed it. New Rave theater opened in town with DLP projection that really looked good and had a crisp soundtrack to boot. Anyone else tried a Rave? They have more legroom than any theater I've been in and extremely comfortable, highback, lumbar-supported, reclining seats.Husband, Father, Son, Brother, Friend.
