Anybody else use Flickr? It's just a photography website where you can share and give comments about different pics (yours and other members). I just signed up and have found it pretty interesting. There is tons of awesome work on the site... lots of people to learn from there. One cool thing about it is that my photo teacher uses it a lot so I can get tips from him now that I've graduated.

My page.
So far I don't have very much stuff up there or anything decent, but in time I should have something better up there. I did a couple shoots in the studio at school that I want to post up there but I'm just have to get ahold of the chick I used for the pics and ask her if it's alright I post them.

Wow, that 'Random Flower' pic is great. I love the color and the composition, but hand held at 1/20 and still that sharp? What do you mean 'not that good'?? Haha, I'd love to be able to hold it that still for 1/40 of a second!
I also really like the 'Sunset' photo. Looks very nice.
"Nothing really too interesting, just a hemi cuda." Boy, what's it take to get you excited if a Hemi Cuda won't do it?! I love seeing pics with the sidewalls on the rear tires flexing at lauch. (hint, hint) LOL
Good looking pics. Oh, and no...I don't use flickr. I did just create an account with www.imagestation.com a while back, though.George Grand wrote: »

Ahh that was funny... I mean the photo isn't all that interesting. The car is freakin beautiful but it was hard to get a nice shot of it because I wasn't able to get down into the pits or along the side walls (got stuck behind the spectator fence).
The flower did actually turn out a little better than I was hoping. In it's original size (3008 by 2000) you can start to notice the flaws a lot more easily. I also used photoshop to just give it a hint of extra contrast. I guess it helps I did archery for a few years. Teaches you to control your movements well. Then again, most shots I do that slow never turn out
Thanks for the comments! -
Those are nice pics michael. I specially liked the mission raceway one.

Nice pics mathew. You should try a little bit of slower shutter speed on water fall to get more smooth flowing effect on water.-izafar

I have shutter speeds running from 1/20th to 1/250...the ones posted are 1/20. Best I could do with a monopod. Thanks for the comments. Is there exif data on this site?Matthew

If you click a photo and then on the right side there will be a 'more properties' link that will send you to view the exif data (if any).
Izafar, I like the lonely bear one. What is it sitting on? -

I found it sitting on a old rusted water fountain in central park. It is a very small bear. The pic was taken with 70-300mm nikor fully extended at 300mm.-izafar

I'm thinking the general layout flickr uses would make for a nice 'System Showcase' substitute. I'm gonna try it. Maybe have my description in my profile, and then all my pics would be on one page. At least, that's how I'm envisioning it. We'll see how it turns out.George Grand wrote: »

Not a bad idea... With the system showcase here you can incorporate a bit of html, but with flickr it's a little better for the actual picture viewing. Maybe I'll stick some pics of my 2ch rig up there.

I've seen people use this website before...so I just checked it out.
I didn't know it was part of Yahoo. I already have a Yahoo account so all I had to do was sign in. Way too easy...
I will be posting some pictures later.

I love that picture of the drag strip and the way the sunset is shimmering off the pavement. I also use Flickr, although I am sure all you guys just recently have seen my pictures.

Well, I've finally begun. I'm creating my 'System Showcase' on flickr. I only have one pic up so far, and really should take some pictures more worthy of representing my system, but it's on its way.
