Ok, I'm going to buy new IC's for my SACD section.

Right now I'm trying to decide between AR and Audioquest Alpha snake.

The AR's are Balanced and directional. The Alpha Snake are directional.

The AR cables cost $15. I can get the AQ for 12.

The AQ is the entry level cable and uses' 24 guage solid Long grain copper.

I don't know what the hell the AR's use.

So should I get the entry level Audio quest or the AR's?

One more thing, Does Video cable in audio work as well or better the strickly audio cables or is the constant 75ohms just wrong for audio?

buy one of each and test them on the front L/R channels of the SACD 5.1 and see what you like better.

Alot of video cables use silver coated copper, silver can sound a little "zippy" in some systems; I'd stick to audio cables personally. 75ohm connections are used for both audio (unbalanced) and video.

Are you using XLR connections? I doubt it for SACD so balanced doesn't even matter. I would grab the cheaper of the two choices.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.
