What has been your best sale/bargain/used gear/merchandise find? Either audio or non-audio.
Mine would have to be the Carver Amazings for $400. I also just got a nice pool table for free. Craiglist kicks ****.
What about you?

A sales incentive that earned me LSi 15s, 9s, 7s, C, FXs, plus a PSW650 & PSW404 for FREE. Then the same offer the following year got me 15s, 9s, 7s, C, FXs, and a PSW1000 for only $200.
I LOVE Polk! When I was in sales they were by far the best company to deal with.HT

Klipsch Promedia 5.1 Ultras for my computer which I bought for $100. At the time they were retailing around $500. The company that put them up on eBay said that the center channel terminal was damaged and would not work but I got the setup and they were basically like brand new with absolutely no problems whatsoever.// Panasonic AE8000 // Pioneer SC-57 // Polk Audio RTi A9 // Polk Audio CSiA6 //

A pair of brand-new Celestion 3's. The price tag said "a pair" instead of "each", therefore I got them at 50% off.

Which company were you in? Nice score to say the least.
Micah (former Polk employee and forum afficinado) gave me a great hook-up on a pair of LSi-15's at a Polkfest a few years back. Not a mind blowing price like what you have -but the sentimental value is through the roof. Those things will never go anywhere.

I did a large clean-up for a nice little old lady a while back, and she told me "to just get rid of all the junk" in her house, as she was moving and had no one to give it to. Well, I came across some 78 RPM (I think) records packed in a milk crate, along with a Garrard(?) 4 speed turntable. Weirdest thing, a record player with 4 speed settings. And yes, it works, although it needs a new cartridge. And the records are unbelievably thick compared to regular albums.
or non audio.
She also threw out a small shoebox full of baseball and football cards, mostly from the early to mid '70s. Also had a few New York Times papers from after JFK was killed . I felt somewhat guilty taking these things, but she insisted she was throwing the stuff out anyway, and had no concern over what I told her this "junk" would be worth if she decided to sell it (I'm guessing 2K + ?)
Needless to say, I still have the junk, only it's being cared for a little better now!:)So, are you willing to put forth a little effort or are you happy sitting in your skeptical poo pile?

My score goes as follows: (I'll start out listing the Carver gear). 2 - M-4.0T amps, 1 - PM-120 amp, 1 - TMF-15 amp, 1 - CT-17 pre-amp/tuner, and 1 - AVR100 receiver. 1 - Arcam DV-88 DVD player, 1 - mitsubishi VCR, and A few additional miscellaneous pieces... A VERY wealthy friend of mine decided it was time to re-vamp his home theater system, and gave it all away to me!!!
