Loose top on 2.3TL

One of my 2.3TLs has a loose top. The 1 inch thick peice of walnut that covers the top moves back and forth about a quarter inch, but not up and down. Are these supposed to come off? I don't want to force them. The other side is solid.

Is this only cosmetic, or do I need to start glueing to seal up air leaks.

I have never taken mine apart but according to a very well respected member he took out one the mids and tightened it from the inside. I'm sure one of the more senior members will speak up soon.;)

Just tighten the nut inside. There are a total of 4 (one in each corner) on each cap.
