 So Im in the process of ordering my SVS Sub, and Rti Fronts. Do you think I should go with the Rti12s, SVS PB12- PLus 2, along with 2 outlaw M2200 mono amps, or should I go with the RTi10s the PB12 plus sub with the outlaw amps? Im having a hard time trying to decide. I was also thinking maybe the PB12 plus 2 maybe overkill and going with the cheaper PB12-NSD/2.

My receiver is the sony 7100es, FXi3 surrounds, bose 161s SBR, and the CSI5 Center. I need to get this stuff ordered and shipped, advise guys. I need it on this one. Thanks

Buy the one you want. Even the 12's won't reach sub sonic levels and will benifit from the SVS.

Even if you don't run your 12's full range, the extra woofers will provide a larger surface area. They'll move more air. There's no replacement for displacement.

what size of room do you have for this gear? that helps determine what speakers and sub to order. Is this for home theater or music or both?

I think the RTi10's and the PB12 would be a killer system along with the M2200 amps.

I approach speakers this way.. and it's just MY way of doing it.

I buy the biggest baddest speakers I can find that i like Then add a subwoofer with good kick you in the nuts bass response.

My thinking is if you "under" buy you may never be happy with it's perfomance. By buying a subwoofer for instance that is more than you need.. you can always turn it down or back the bass response off some.

BUT if you underbuy speakers.. then can only output so much sound before they give up the ghost. Basically.. you can't expect many 8" subwoofers to be able to get you the output response of say a 10" or 12" sub.

    Make sense?

Keep this in mind.... If you know you're going to be thinking "I wonder how the 12's would sound if I purchased them instead of the 10's?" Go directly for the 12's. Chances are, the itch won't go away until you upgrade.

yeah I definitely have the upgrade bug in me, I just dont want to go overboard on the system, it will be mainly for games, HT about 80 percent of time, the rest music. Oh well I will go ahead and pick up the Rti12s the pb plus sub and the 2 outlaw amps, that should hold me for awhile.

Shipping is going to kill me since Im in japan, you guys stateside are lucky.

Doesn't Polk Audio have any dealers in Japan? Since most of the electronics we buy here are from Japan anyways.. just makes sense that Polk would be carried over there.
