Anybody listen to The Tea Party?

They were my favorite band back in high school. Just for fun, I pulled out their album "Splendor Solis" album the other day and gave it a spin. I was shocked at the recording quality. Clear, dynamic and very realisitic. Listening to "Edges of Twilight" light now but noticed a great deal of compression on the recording. "Transmission" is even worse. Horrible production.

What's your favorite Tea Party album?

Saw The Tea Party for the first time at the "SARS" fest a couple years ago. Not knowing much about them at the time, I must admit I was quite impressed. I now rank myself as one of their oldest NEW fans!
Your right on target Organ...Splendor is recorded very well...one of my favs!

Cool. Glad to see another TTP fan in here. I think Splendor is their best album followed closely by The Edges of Twilight. I also have Transmission and Triptych. I barely listen to Transmission but Triptych ain't bad. I want more of those Arabic stuff.

Cool how you saw them live. I've seen them perform live on tv and they sound great. Jeff Martin is one hell of a vocalist/guitarist. Is it just me or does he look and sound just like Jim Morrison?

I enjoy them occasionally. They're good for when you want something with a different almost darker feel to it. I have the transmission album but haven't really heard much from their others. Might have to check out splendor, if the quality is that much better ;)
