Projector question

Ok, I plan to get a projector. Found an authorized repair centre near my house that also sell used projectors once in a while. They're usually year 2000 models that retailed for $5k and they sell them for around 600-800.

My question is, what kind of size can I get with the unit approx 12ft away from the screen?

Thanks

Maurice

    http://www.projectorcentral.com/projection-calculator-pro.cfm

jsut put the model and the manufacturer in and set the size away from the screen, and it will show you how big or small the image will be from that view. The projector has a zoom lens which means from one position the image can vary in size depending on where the lens is set at. the top vertical slider acts as the zoom lens
jsut set the distance and vary the lens slider until you get the size you want

Thanks a lot for the link, Jon.
That will definitely come in handy when I'm ready to purchase.
I just checked the repair centre's website and it looks like they're sold out of used projectors. Gonna keep checking.

    Thanks again
