Someone locally is selling some vintage Adcom pieces. Curious if anyone has used them or if they are familiar with them. My main interest is an Adcom GFA 1A amp. An odd looking beast, but is rated at 200 wpc. A PFA 1A preamp, and GFT 2 tuner. He also has a pair of Mission 770's. I have not heard or auditioned any of the pieces yet.
I was wondering mainly if the amp/preamp are clean sounding pieces. I found someone claiming the GFA 1A amp sounded better than the newer GFA 555 model he had owned in the past. Again, this amp ain't pretty...
