Phooey.

Haha. You gonna make fun of that, too? This last semester at FTCC (community college here), I got picked on a bunch for using language like that. My Calc II class would meet up to study on the weekends, and after finding a mistake in their work near the beginning of a page or two long problem they'd let out cuss words. Whenever I got frustrated, I'd let out a 'phooey', or 'dadburnit', or 'foot', or 'piphel'. They all agreed they'd rather I just cuss.
Sometimes the world amazes me, though.George Grand wrote: »

What the heck is dadburnit, foot, and piphel mean? I've seriously never heard those words in the context you're putting them in. Phooey, yes, but not those 3. Funny stuff.
Is dadburnit like dagnabit? -
I, personally (as well as does my family and at least one friend), use dadburnit, dagnabit, shoot, phooey, piphel, foot, and a few others I can't think of right now. I have no idea how these words originated, or what they're intended use are, but we use them interchangeably just like phooey.
My aforementioned friend, when I get him riled up, is quite fond of saying 'dadburn your ornery hide!'George Grand wrote: »
